1941 Engraved 22k Wedding Band
The purpose of bringing in rings like this is so you can be teleported back into history. You will first notice the gentle sloping soft facets on the band that disperses the light nicely. The hand engraving designs with the swirly fans will make you want to peer in quite close. The light makes those hand engraved designs melt in temporarily through an optical illusion, but don't you worry the design continues on both of the sidewalls too. The color is not too orange, but deeply rich thanks to the 22k gold.
I did several hallmark checks to be sure, this is hallmarked for 1941. Highly unusual as it was during World War II, a year that marked the end of the Blitz (a tragic bombing campaign led by Nazi Germany that tested the morale of UK citizens) and the year when the USA was brought into the fold of the war. A year after in 1942 was when 22k gold wedding bands were restricted in the UK and utility wedding bands were produced as an effort to consolidate resources during World War II.
Ring size: 5.6 (it is sitting above 5.50 but under 5.75). Please note the sizing on this ring says "L" for the UK size. Fits between a 5.5-5.75

1949 22k Wedding Band
This is as classic as they come, smooth and instantly familiar. A design confidence that is perfectly proportioned and nostalgic without ever feeling dated and only going to accrue more confidence and desirability as years to come. There are no extra flourishes because none are needed. With the warm gold and a clean silhouette your perfect 22k gold stacker band awaits your finger.
Hallmarked for the year 1949, a year of vibrancy and hope. NATO was formed under this year, a sign of peace to come. This was also the year when the first Emmy awards was given out!
