Dolores Pocket Watch
Dolores Pocket Watch
A swirled powder blue guilloche enamel with a faded light green center. The enamel has amazing texture, twirl the pocket watch to see the dynamic ray design. The miniature diamond cut roses with their tendrils remind me of a garden. Definitely giving the giardinetti style vibes, but technically it is not since it lacks the basket or a vase that the flowers sit in. The framing of the delicate flowers makes it a true masterpiece. Turn it around on the back to see a watch face with a continuous enamel border, a testament that no design short cuts were done in its creation. The watch no longer runs, it is halted at 2:57pm.
Tip: if you so desire to open the pocket watch, press gently at the black button at the top and gently open at the lip. To close, press the button again and then shut. Shutting without pressing the button can damage the mechanisms inside.
