This natural gemstone regrettably does not have a distinct trade name, perhaps due to its rarity. Initially discovered in the 1990s in Bekily, Madagascar, it was mainly depleted around the 1999s until a few more mining locations were found in 2017. The color change garnet is not restrained to a specific garnet mineral species, but they typically are a mix of pyrope and spessartine minerals.
This ring exemplifies an exceptional display of color transformation, far beyond a mere subtle shift. Demonstrating nature's remarkable artistry, the ring transitions from a fern or olive green to a pink-cerise hue. The color change occurs spontaneously, offering a unique and engaging experience for the wearer. A vintage ring with pinched shoulders features a halo center. The understated diamonds complement the centerpiece, while the garnet provides a vibrant alternative to an alexandrite.
