Jack Pendant
Jack Pendant
A starburst of banded agates and natural pearls. One of the quirkier items in my shop, a celestial burst of mourning colors. Although just like Sally, I doubt he’s a mourning representation and more of the cravings of the advancements and exploration into the unknown. What's nice with this one is that he has a nice bloomed gold finish to the back. His back does have evidence of hand tooling (evidence that it was hand made) and scratching to the back in the shape of a star. I'm not sure if the scratching was intentional.
The round and angular spikes are a nice contrast to the black and white theme. I especially adore the soft floral pearl halo around its center. He got a newly added 14k, 4mm jump ring so he is ready to wear as the center attention to your neck stack.
Agates are a microcrystalline variety of silica. Did you know that its banded look is still not completely understood and there are only theories? The leading hypothesis is that there are empty spots of voids in volcanic rock and that silica fluids penetrate through the rocks.
