There are thousands of seed pearls here and they each interact with the light in its own unique way. I especially love that the necklace doesn't sit as a tightly woven rope and has a more tousled airy movement. So drapey! The pearls vary in hue from ecru white to silvery grey giving the whole necklace a beautifully aged and moonlit type of quality. It layers wonderfully with gold or silver chains, especially when you want something that feels delicate and a bit poetic.
This necklace returned from a GIA evaluation where a random sample of pearls from one strand was tested and identified as natural saltwater pearls. The GIA description applies to the tested sample and the ones they were able to test was determined to be natural saltwater pearls with no evidence of treatment. It is common with pearl strands to have limited testing access due to the drilling and stringing construction.
