Victorian 18k Double Snake Diamond Ring
Victorian 18k Double Snake Diamond Ring

The most romantic ring that you can ever come across, two snakes meet in an eternal embrace, their intertwined forms symbolizing enduring devotion and celebrating growth. Throughout the Victorian era (and eras before) the serpent was cherished as a representation of everlasting commitment. Two souls choosing each other again and again throughout every stage of life. There is something so profound to me about this, as true love means that you evolve together and become better because of one another.
Hand-crafted in 18k gold and dating to approximately 1898-1899, the ring bears twin hallmarks attesting to its period origins. The serpents' bodies shimmer with old mine cut diamonds, while delicate rose-cut diamond snake eyes lend them an irresistibly sweet expression. The gold has acquired a rich, warm patina over more than 120 years, a depth of character and glow that only time can grant.
